Following a recent review and re-organisation of our IT team, Silver Fern Farms have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Application Developer.
Based in Dunedin and reporting to the Team Leader Business Solutions, this position is responsible for analysing requirements, developing, configuring, maintaining, and providing technical support for the business systems at Silver Fern Farms.
The Application Developer role is a critical position in which the successful applicant will be expected to deliver quality business solutions that meet the needs of the business today and in the future.
The successful applicant will possess the following attributes and skills:
· A diploma or degree in computer science (or similar) and a minimum of three years experience developing business applications
· In depth experience of Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft .NET software development within a business environment
· Microsoft certification in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage MCPD, MCTS (Visual Studio 2005 / 2008) and/or MCDBA
· Proven experience developing reports using Microsoft Reporting Services and Crystal Reports
· A proven track record in quality systems analysis, specification and design
· Experience with systems documentation including testing and training
· Experience in the management and maintenance of Microsoft SQL databases
· Excellent communication skills – both oral and verbal
