Following a recent review and re-organisation of our IT team, Silver Fern Farms have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Systems Engineer.
Based in Dunedin and reporting to the Team Leader Technical Services, this role will be critical in maintaining the up-time and security of existing IT services, and supporting the delivery of new systems and services to Silver Fern Farms users.
The successful applicant will possess the following attributes and skills:
· A diploma or degree in computer science (or similar) and a minimum of three years experience as a Systems Engineer
· A Microsoft certification in one or more relevant areas i.e. MCSE.
· Proven, hands-on experience in providing 2nd line technical support
· Proven experience with Microsoft AD, Server OS, Exchange and Desktop OS
· Experience with HP SAN, server and desktop hardware would be an advantage
· Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
· Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Certification in VMWare, Citrix and/or Cisco would be a definite advantage.
